For yet another year, Catalonia will dress up to celebrate La Marat\u00f3 de 3Cat<\/strong>, a charity event that has become a benchmark in raising funds for medical research. With the slogan “A ple pulm\u00f3”, this year La Marat\u00f3 seeks to raise funds for respiratory diseases that affect more than 2 million people in Catalonia alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

La Marat\u00f3 de 3Cat offers the opportunity to visit several research centres in Catalonia<\/strong>, where projects funded by donations from the public are being developed. These visits allow you to get a close-up look at the work of researchers and the advances in the treatment of the diseases that are the subject of one or more of the editions of this charity event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Fundaci\u00f3 La Marat\u00f3 de 3Cat encourages and promotes excellent research, as well as raising social awareness of the diseases addressed in the La Marat\u00f3 programme. More than 247 million euros raised since 1992 thanks to donations entrusted to us by the public have enabled 1,762 research teams, with the involvement of 10,900 researchers, to develop 1,048 research projects to make decisive progress in the knowledge, diagnosis and treatment of many serious and chronic diseases, to improve people’s hope and quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
