Clorian Ticketing to Take Part in Tech4Travel Summit 2026
- On 2 October, Clorian Ticketing will take part in Tech4Travel Summit 2026, an event organised by the Tech Tourism Cluster that will bring together traveltech professionals in Santa Cristina d’Aro to share knowledge and discuss the key challenges surrounding innovation, technology and the transformation of the tourism industry.
At Clorian Ticketing, we remain committed to actively participating in the spaces where the present and future of the digital transformation of tourism and culture are being shaped. This year, we will be attending Tech4Travel Summit 2026, which will take place on 2 October at Espai Ridaura in Santa Cristina d’Aro.
As part of the programme, Francesc Cano, CEO and founder of Clorian Ticketing, will take part in the panel discussion “Transcurs tecnològic des de la compra del ticket fins a la visita real” (“The technological journey from ticket purchase to the actual visit”), alongside Jordi Artigas, Director of Operations and Audiences at the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, with Rolando García, from Eurecat, as moderator.
The visitor experience begins long before the visit
When does the visitor experience really begin?
Today, the answer goes far beyond the moment someone walks through the doors of a museum, monument or attraction. The journey begins with discovery and continues through decision-making, ticket purchase, visit preparation, access, the experience itself and the subsequent relationship with the visitor.
In this new landscape, the traditional purchase – ticket – access model has evolved into a much broader journey:
Discovery – decision – purchase – data – preparation – access – experience – post-visit relationship.
Technology connects all these different stages. The challenge is no longer simply to sell a ticket, but to ensure that product, distribution, ticketing, data and operations work together seamlessly to reduce friction, manage demand more effectively and deliver an increasingly smooth visitor experience.
This will be the starting point for the panel discussion at Tech4Travel Summit 2026.
From ticketing to integrated visitor management
During the session, the panel will explore how the way visitors discover, plan and purchase tourism and cultural experiences has evolved, as well as the role of direct sales and different distribution channels within this new ecosystem.
The discussion will also address the technological complexity behind what may appear to be a simple purchase process. Product, availability, pricing, sales channels, payments, ticket issuance, capacity management and access control all need to work together to ensure a seamless experience for both visitors and venues.
In this context, ticketing has evolved beyond being purely a transactional tool to become a key component of visitor management.
Every purchase generates information that can help venues anticipate when visitors will arrive, which product they have purchased, which channel they used to make the purchase and how demand is distributed over time. When used effectively, this information can help venues make better decisions, optimise their operations and prepare the visitor experience even before the visitor arrives.
Data, personalisation and artificial intelligence
The panel discussion will also focus on one of the industry’s major challenges: how to turn the data generated throughout the visitor journey into useful, actionable information.
A deeper understanding of visitors makes it possible to adapt communications and experiences to different profiles and stages of the journey, including international visitors, families, school groups, returning visitors and audiences with specific interests.
Technologies such as artificial intelligence, predictive models, recommendation systems and digital assistants add another layer of opportunity, making it possible to anticipate needs, automate processes and deliver more relevant experiences.
The discussion will also look ahead to the coming years and explore how automation, platform integrations, the evolution of distribution channels and the intelligent use of data will continue to transform the way tourism and cultural venues manage their relationships with visitors.
